How We Work
From consultation to continuous insight
We handle the technology so you can focus on operations. Here is what working with LotSight looks like.
Consultation
We start by understanding your operations. We assess your site layout, review your existing camera infrastructure, and identify where monitoring will deliver the most value.
What This Includes
- ✓Site walkthrough and camera inventory
- ✓Define what you need to measure (counts, occupancy, flow, patterns)
- ✓Identify optimal camera angles and coverage gaps
- ✓Scope of work and timeline agreed upon
Installation
We deploy compact on-site processing hardware that connects to your existing cameras. All data processing happens locally on your property. No video is sent to the cloud.
What This Includes
- ✓Small processing device installed on-site (fits in a standard rack or shelf)
- ✓Connects to your existing IP cameras over your local network
- ✓No internet dependency for core processing
- ✓Video never leaves your premises
Calibration
We tune the system specifically for your environment. Every site is different, so we configure detection zones, counting lines, and alert thresholds to match your operational needs.
What This Includes
- ✓Detection zones tailored to your layout
- ✓Counting accuracy validated against manual counts
- ✓Alert thresholds set to your operational standards
- ✓Dashboard configured for your team and workflows
Ongoing Support
Once live, we monitor system health and performance continuously. We handle updates, re-calibration, and optimization so your team can focus on using the data, not maintaining the system.
What This Includes
- ✓Remote health monitoring of all edge devices
- ✓Periodic accuracy reviews and re-calibration
- ✓Software updates delivered automatically
- ✓Dedicated support for operational questions

Common Questions
What operations and IT teams typically ask us
What hardware do you install?
A compact processing device that connects to your cameras over your local network. It fits on a shelf or in a standard rack. We provide and configure all hardware.
Does any video leave my property?
No. All video processing happens on-site. Only anonymous counts and timestamps are sent to the dashboard. No video, no images, no personal data ever leaves.
What if our network goes down?
The on-site device buffers data locally and syncs when connectivity returns. Core monitoring continues regardless of internet status.
Do our existing cameras work?
In most cases, yes. We assess compatibility during the consultation. Most modern IP cameras are supported.
How accurate is it in bad weather?
We calibrate for your specific conditions. The system handles rain, snow, glare, and low light. We validate accuracy during the calibration phase.
Can we integrate with our existing systems?
Yes. We provide REST APIs and webhooks for integration with parking management, building automation, and other operational systems.
